Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stone Mason/CNC Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to cut, shape, and finish stone materials with precision and efficiency.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as grinders, milling machines, and welding equipment to perform detailed stone carving and assembly tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files created in SolidWorks or similar software to produce accurate stone components.
- Set up and maintain tooling, ensuring all equipment is calibrated correctly for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products, checking dimensions using basic math skills and measurement tools.
- Assist in the fabrication of custom stone features, including polishing, grinding, and surface finishing processes.
- Support plastics injection molding processes when required, applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues or assist with assembly tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with hand tools, power tools, and machinery in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Familiarity with CNC operation, CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programs, and basic understanding of machining processes like milling and grinding.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret measurements accurately using basic math skills.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during fabrication and assembly stages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
