JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of London’s leading florists, supporting events within the UK and internationally. As part of the Events team, the successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Events to create and deliver exceptional floral designs for a multitude of HNW clients, top venues, and leading events companies.
The Events Coordinator at PAUL THOMAS will be the first point of contact for all clients looking to hold an event. They will be responsible for the planning and logistics of bringing each event together, from initial meeting through to event completion.
THE ROLE
- Communicate with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budget. Assist in translating their ideas into floral design concepts that align with the event’s theme and ambiance.
- Collaborate with clients and the events team to plan the logistics of floral arrangements and decorations. Ensure that the design concepts integrate seamlessly with other event elements.
- Collaborate with the florists and designers to create detailed plans for floral arrangements, centrepieces, bouquets, and other floral displays. Ensure that designs are in line with the event theme and client’s desires.
- Assist in developing and managing budgets for floral arrangements and decor. Help source flowers and materials that meet the design requirements while adhering to budget constraints.
- Research and coordinate the procurement of flowers from various suppliers. Ensure that the selected flowers are fresh, high-quality, and aligned with the event’s colour scheme and style.
- Liaise with flower suppliers, growers, and other vendors involved in the floral aspect of the event. Ensure that contracts are negotiated, and deliveries are scheduled according to the event timeline.
- Assist in coordinating the transportation, storage, and setup of floral arrangements at the event venue. Work closely with the events team to ensure flawless execution.
- Provide on-site support during event setup, overseeing the arrangement of floral displays and making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Maintain open communication with clients throughout the planning process. Address any concerns, changes, or last-minute adjustments to ensure client satisfaction with the floral designs and event execution.
- Assist in resolving any unexpected challenges that may arise, such as changes in flower availability or design modifications.
- Participate in post-event evaluations to gather feedback from clients and the events team. Use feedback to improve future events and enhance the quality of floral designs.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in floristry and event coordination. Share new ideas and techniques with the team to enhance the creative process.
THE CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate:
- Have experience within the floral industry
- Must possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Will be comfortable with taking responsibility for managing teams and projects
- Will need to possess first class IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, as a large part of this role will be creating proposals and visuals for our clients
- Will possess a genuine passion for floristry and the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm
- Will have a strong grasp of the commercial side of the floristry industry
- Ideally, but not necessarily, the candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive vans on occasion
- The successful candidate should be happy with early starts and willing to work at the weekend and on projects abroad

The role is a standard 42.5 hour working week, with additional week and weekend hours when required. Fully office based.
Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
