Responsibilities
- Lead lively and well-structured street dance classes tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Demonstrate various street dance styles, including hip-hop, breakdance, locking, and popping with clarity and enthusiasm
- Develop innovative choreography that challenges students while keeping sessions fun and accessible
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve technique, rhythm, and confidence
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages self-expression, teamwork, and respect among participants
- Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and adapt to the needs of diverse learners
- Maintain a safe space by ensuring proper warm-up routines and injury prevention measures are followed
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching street dance styles with a strong portfolio or demonstration skills
- Deep knowledge of various street dance techniques, history, and cultural significance
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and engage students effectively
- Ability to create energetic routines that appeal to a broad audience while emphasizing technique
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and class management
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as needed
- Certification in dance instruction or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory; a passion for continuous learning is essential
