We’re looking for a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MIG welding and fabrication, with the ability to read drawings, measure accurately, and produce high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of mild steel components to a high standard
- Fabrication of products
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and measurements
- Operating workshop machinery (cutting, drilling, grinding, etc.)
- Quality checking work to ensure accuracy and finish
- Assisting with fitting and installation work when required
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work individually and as part of a team
- Basic hand tool and workshop machinery experience
- Physically fit and able to handle metal components
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to operate a forklift (preferred but not essential)
Working hours:
· Monday – Thursday: 8am-5pm
· Friday: 8am-2pm
