Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable DPD Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. As a DPD Driver, you will be the face of our company, delivering parcels efficiently and safely to customers while providing excellent service. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely deliveries, handle parcels with care, and maintain clear communication throughout your shift.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including <PERSON> driver trucks, to deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload parcels, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse environments
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools to meet delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety standards are met before each shift
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and proof of delivery records
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parcel handling
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct
