We’re pleased to offer a secondment opportunity for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join our HR team and support a range of people initiatives across the business.
This role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their understanding of the Aviva Group, build new relationships, and gain exposure to different areas of HR practice. Whether you’re looking to deepen your knowledge, explore a new part of the business, or contribute to a high-impact team, this secondment offers a valuable development experience.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with our HR Business Partners to deliver high-impact support across a range of people activities. You’ll be involved in:

Supporting the development and rollout of people policies and procedures

Assisting with employee relations casework and performance management processes

Providing accurate HR data for SLT and Board reporting

Supporting the apprentice scheme lifecycle

Coaching line managers on people-related matters

Delivering seamless HR service to colleagues across the business

Participating in ad hoc projects and initiatives
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be encouraged to bring ideas, offer solutions, and make a meaningful contribution to our people agenda.
Qualifications:

A passion for people and a proactive mindset

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Confidence in handling sensitive matters with discretion

Experience in HR administration or advisory capacity

CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
