Dance&Arts is a creative education company delivering high-quality afterschool clubs, workshops, and enrichment programmes in primary schools across London and the UK.

Available Opportunities
Book Worms and Journal Buddies Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Hackney, E8
Day: Monday
Time: 3:45pm – 4:45pm
Contract: 7 September – 14 December 2026
Children: KS1 (ages 6–7)
Pay: £35 per hour
Lead a fun and engaging reading and journaling club for young children. Sessions may include storytelling, shared reading, creative writing, drawing, reflection activities and simple journal projects designed to build literacy, imagination and confidence.
Animation Nation Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Hackney, E8
Day: Monday
Time: 3:45pm – 4:45pm
Contract: 7 September – 14 December 2026
Children: KS2 (ages 8–11)
Pay: £40 per hour
Transform screen time into a powerful creative learning experience by teaching children how to bring their ideas to life through digital animation. Using iPads and creative apps, children will explore storytelling, character design, stop-motion animation and digital creativity.
Messy Art and Clay Play Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Hackney, E8
Day: Tuesday
Time: 3:45pm – 4:45pm
Contract: 8 September – 15 December 2026
Children: KS1 (ages 6–7)
Pay: £35 per hour
Deliver exciting hands-on art sessions using a variety of materials, including paint, collage, clay and mixed media. Children will explore their creativity through fun projects and sensory art activities. All materials are provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging weekly afterschool club sessions.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Inspire children to develop creativity, confidence, communication and self-expression.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.
- Manage behaviour positively in line with school expectations.
- Ensure children's wellbeing and safety throughout each session.
- Arrive on time and be fully prepared for every session.
- Maintain a fun, encouraging and creative atmosphere.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching or leading activities for primary-aged children.
- Relevant experience in creative arts, crafts, literacy, animation, digital media, storytelling, journaling, or similar enrichment activities.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and engaging teaching style.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and able to commit for the full Autumn Term.
Desirable Skills
- Experience delivering extracurricular or afterschool clubs.
- Art, design, education, media, creative writing or related qualifications.
- Experience using digital devices and animation apps (Animation Nation role).
- Experience delivering arts and crafts activities for children.
- First Aid or Safeguarding training.
