As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a International Shipping Coordinator to organise and provide timely and professional product delivery, ensuring legal compliance, accurate and timely information and documentation into each customer region.
Who We’re Looking For:
- You will have excellent communication skills, capable of building effective working relationships.
- You must have a good level of attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications and arrangements are accurate.
- At times you may need to work to tight deadlines and therefore you should be capable of prioritising your workload and working under pressure.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths at grades C or above, you will have previously worked in an administrative role in a fast paced environment.
- You must be fully competent with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous Export Shipping experience is desirable but not essential.
- SAP user experience advantageous is desirable but not essential.
- Administration or Microsoft based qualifications is desirable but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare, maintain, communicate, and coordinate shipment documentation covering diverse service requirements
- Managing the relationships with external companies (UK & abroad) to ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements
- Negotiate freight rates and select suppliers based on quality, specialisation and value; managing costs and ensuring that amount is covered in the shipment
- Ensure all deliveries are prioritised and dealt with in a timely fashion.Plan collections or deliveries to meet the customer specified delivery date
- Own the delivery relationship with customers, ensuring quick and accurate feedback on progress, dealing with any problems in a timely manner
- Create cost documents in SAP in order for accounts department to pay suppliers
- Influence a broad range of internal contacts to ensure timely provision of information to meet customer needs
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in administrative systems
