AA Fire & Security Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm & Security Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is confident in installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding across a variety of fire and security systems.
Role Overview
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of a wide range of fire and security systems across customer sites. You will play an important role in ensuring all systems meet industry standards and client expectations, while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and security systems
- Fault-finding and repair of system issues
- Routine servicing and testing to ensure system reliability and compliance
- Working independently and as part of a team on various projects
- Providing professional service and clear communication to customers on-site
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
Systems You Will Work With
- Fire alarm systems
- Emergency lighting systems
- CCTV systems
- Intruder alarm systems
- Access control and door entry systems
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience within the fire and security industry
- Strong knowledge of installation, servicing, and fault diagnosis
- CSCS or ECS certification
- Ability to pass security screening checks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, customer-focused approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA units, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Experience across a broad range of systems and manufacturers
