The Eggfree Cake Box is the UK’s largest specialist cake retailer specialising in the production and distribution of high-quality Egg Free celebration cakes across the UK. This is a dynamic and fast-growing business. We will be opening in the next 2-4 weeks and will be joining the 100 plus stores that are trading so far
Role Summary:
Team Member
We are looking for like-minded, enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join this exciting project. It is a fast paced environment but a fun place to work. This is more of a factory run operation rather than an artistic cake making environment. You won't need any experience in cake decorating as you will be trained and supervised from day one. Experience of working in a kitchen environment could be beneficial.
Main Responsibilities
- Working with a team of cake decorators in conjunction with our front of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards
- Filling cake sponge with fresh cream and spread so they are ready to decorate
- Learning new decorating skills alongside experienced decorators
- Learning how to write messages on cakes for customer orders
- Decorating cakes and slices for display and filling Display Fridges
- Decorating customer orders
- End of day Kitchen cleaning with all staff, including mopping the kitchen floor.
- Preparing the shop before opening
- Maintaining front of house cleanliness throughout the day
- Working in conjunction with our back of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards
- Keeping a check on the quality of cakes leaving the shop
- Greet and deal with customer’s requests with a smile
- Serve customers and take payments using the cash register and card machine
- Taking cake orders from customers
- Answering the phone
- Learning how to write messages on cakes
- Boxing cakes and slices correctly
- Cashing up at the end of each day
