Job Overview
We are looking for experienced and reliable Painters and Decorators to join our team on a full-time basis. We are based in South Shields but cover the whole of the North East.
The successful candidates will carry out a variety of internal and external painting and decorating works across a range of residential and commercial properties.
You’ll be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship while working safely, efficiently, and professionally in occupied and unoccupied environments.
Duties
- Carry out surface preparation, filling, sanding, and priming.
- Apply paints and finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, metalwork etc.
- Work to specification and ensure consistent high-quality finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Identify and report any defects or required additional works.
- Communicate clearly with clients, site managers, and team members.
- Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications/Experience
- Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator in residential or commercial settings.
- Skilled in a variety of finishes, both water and solvent based.
- A good work ethic is essential.
- Good understanding of site safety and working practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Desirable but not essential - Driving licence/own transport.
- Desirable but not essential - Paper hanging skill.
- CSCS Card (preferred or willing to obtain).
