Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Aftersales team at our Selby dealership. Applications are welcomed from qualified technicians, with an MOT Tester qualification being advantageous but not essential.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition and within agreed timescales.
Working within a modern workshop environment, you will be part of a professional team focused on quality workmanship, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing vehicle health checks and reporting any additional work required.
- Undertaking warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate job records and workshop documentation.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Contributing positively to workshop productivity and efficiency targets.
- Supporting colleagues to maintain a high-performing workshop environment.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a franchised dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop.
- Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Current Class 4 MOT Tester qualification.
- Experience within a franchised dealership environment.
- Hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications.
- Experience working with Vauxhall, Peugeot or other Stellantis brands.
