Emelec Limited is a growing Facilities Maintenance company based in Wirral, delivering electrical, fire alarm, data, and building maintenance services to commercial clients nationwide. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Rota & Scheduling Coordinator to join our Birkenhead office.
This is a key operational role responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of our engineering workforce to ensure service delivery commitments are met efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and managing daily engineer schedules, allocating reactive and planned maintenance works across the UK
- Coordinating engineer rotas, attendance, and workload distribution to maximise efficiency and response times
- Managing emergency call-outs and schedule changes, responding quickly to operational demands
- Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure works are scheduled effectively
- Monitoring job progress and adjusting schedules in real time to address delays, urgent works, or changing priorities
- Maintaining accurate job records, scheduling information, and operational documentation
- Handling incoming client enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting operational administration, including updating internal systems and assisting with service coordination tasks
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in scheduling, workforce planning, service coordination, or a similar operational role is essential
- Experience within facilities maintenance, engineering services, or a fast-paced service environment would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, confident liaising with engineers, clients, and stakeholders at all levels
- Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly when handling urgent call-outs or last-minute changes
- Strong IT and administrative skills, with experience using scheduling or job management systems preferred
- Able to work independently, use initiative, and make sound operational decisions
