Due to our Nursery expanding we require a L3 early years practitioner to join our team
20 hours minimum per week- Term time only
L3 early years relevant qualification is a must
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and fun individual to work within our small but busy nursery caring for children aged birth to 5 years
This role includes caring for and meeting the individual needs of all children, including all aspects of feeding, personal care and educational development following the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidate will have key children, plan activities according to children's interests and will be involved in all daily routines within the nursery
Must hold a relevant L3 childcare qualification such as EYE, a DBS check will be taken, recent experience working within the EYFS is preferred, paediatric First aid certificate required or must be willing to undertake training to gain this over 2 days
To work between the hours of 8.00-5.30 Monday-Friday, Flexible
The successful candidate will:
Have a warm smiley face, love to laugh, and distribute hugs unreservedly
Have a great imagination and have the ability to pretend to eat the most creative playdough food creations realistically, along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea
Sing in your best singing voice in tune or not, love Disney songs and nursery rhymes and show of your best dancing moves
Be able to rapidly count the heads of numerous small people
The ability to remember the names of many children, their pets and special soft toys are a key component of this job
Finally you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families, there is simply no job like it
