Shift/Hours: Monday - Thursday Dayshift 6am – 2.30pm | Backshift 2pm – 10pm | Rotational
Friday Dayshift 6am – 2pm | Backshift 2pm – 9.30pm | Rotational
Pay: £12.71 p/hr

Our Glasgow site is the UK’s largest manufacturer of edible cake decorations and toppings, producing a wide range for leading grocery retailers, food manufacturers and specialist artisan bakers. OV operates across seven manufacturing sites in the UK, Sweden and Switzerland. We are looking for reliable Production Operators to support the safe, efficient day-to-day running of our production department. Due to expansion and growth we are looking for roles in various departments that will be discussed in detail at interview. In all roles you will work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and food safety.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards/concerns to Supervisors/Managers.
- Operate and look after production equipment within trained capability; report defects and required repairs promptly.
- Follow GMP and SOPs to ensure areas are always audit-ready.
- Maintain hygiene, HACCP and allergen controls at all times.
- Work closely with Supervisors and Technical/QA to ensure the highest quality, integrity and food safety standards.
- Complete product checks against QAS at the required frequency; escalate any issues immediately.
- Complete production documentation clearly, accurately and on time.
What we’re looking forEssential:
- Good numeracy and literacy (English).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Able to complete documentation legibly and accurately.
- Basic understanding of allergen control/segregation and HACCP principles. (or willingness to complete training).
- Training in Basic Food Hygiene and Manual Handling (or willingness to complete training).
- A safety-first mindset.
Desirable:
- Comfortable working under pressure without compromising standards.
- Flexible approach to meet changing production demands.
- Able to work effectively and safely with minimal supervision.
