Purpose: To provide technical service to our workshop workload including maintaining our charter fleet plus privately owned craft. To provide general service and maintenance capabilities to the company.
Key Responsibilities:
PLEASE NOTE MARINE EXPERIENCE IS NOT ESSENTIAL AND TUITION WILL BE PROVIDED IF REQUIRED.
· Service and maintain our charter fleet of cruisers and day boats and also private boats in our service and maintenance schedule.
· Engine servicing and general repairs, installations, replacement parts, fault finding and general maintenance including all mechanical and electrical items.
· Participate in boat lifting and manoeuvring through our hoist and lift. Participate in chocking of craft on hard stand.
· Some boat handling (tuition given) will be required for demonstrating cruisers to customers.
· Operate basic electronic control fault diagnostics on certain engines and heaters – tuition given.
· Winterise/de-winterise boats and caravans.
· General maintenance to company goods including golf course machinery etc.
· Attend breakdowns, general service work or any other duties where required.
· Liaise with customers and look after customer’s property when so required in a polite and professional manner showing duty of care at all times.
· Participate in training/induction activity in conjunction with the management.
· Monitor health and safety matters and participate in risk assessment activity as required.
· Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the management.
