Braes Dundee is looking for an ambitious, energetic General Manager to take the venue forward into its next chapter.
Braes is an established venue with a strong trading history and a prime position in Dundee’s student nightlife scene. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh energy, strong commercial thinking and a brilliant team culture to the business.
The Role
As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the venue — driving sales, building the team and making Braes the place students choose for everything from casual pints and live sport to big nights out.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, developing and motivating the venue team
- Driving sales, profitability and operational standards
- Creating events, promotions and student-focused activity that gets people through the doors
- Building relationships with Dundee’s student community, societies and local partners
- Delivering brilliant customer experiences
- Managing budgets, labour, stock and venue performance
- Maintaining excellent licensing, safety and compliance standards
Who We’re Looking For
You might already be a General Manager, or you could be a strong Deputy/Assistant Manager ready to step up.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- - Commercial and results-driven
- - Passionate about the student market
- - Creative with events, marketing and promotions
- - A confident and inspiring people leader
- - Experienced in high-volume pubs, bars or late-night venues
- - Comfortable taking ownership of a P&L and delivering against target.
Most importantly, we want someone who sees the potential in Braes and wants to put their own stamp on the venue.
Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
