AllinOneCare are embarking on an exciting new strategy combining our residential services to deliver quality experiences to young people in care. Based at our home our 3-bed mixed home which provides care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 11 - 17 years in Thornton Heath, we are recruiting for support workers to join the team.
As a support worker at AllinOneCare, you will be integral in helping children ranging from 11 - 17 years old with complex needs in their everyday tasks and activities. Based at our home our 3-bed mixed home in Thornton Heath, you will make an environment that is warm, friendly and nurturing to those living in the home. As this is a challenging role, you will contribute to the everyday tasks and smooth running of care that will make life-changing impacts to the children in care. You will work with staff from different experience levels to safeguard children in care at all times. Participate in a wide range of activities inside the home and in the wider community.

About you:
· Ability to work the following shift patterns: 3 nights on, 3 nights off on a rolling rota.
· You must have a DBS issued in the last 3 months or be on the online update service (Essential)
· Have an NVQ Level 3 or be working towards it.
A Residential Children’s Support Worker role will involve:
⦁ Supporting children aged 11-17 in full-time residential care during the nights and day shift
⦁ To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
⦁ Setting boundaries for children and young people that may display challenging or emotional behaviour, whilst developing a relationship built on mutual trust
⦁ Residential Support Workers play a key role in contributing to the physical, social and emotional well-being, in order to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere
⦁ To use behaviour management strategies effectively and in line with the home's policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful environment
Person Specification (Essential)
⦁ Evidence of successfully working with young people
⦁ Experience within security
⦁ Awareness of safeguarding young people
⦁ Ability to deal with challenging or aggressive behaviour
⦁ High degree of resilience
⦁ Good communication skills
⦁ Ideally hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Not Essential)
