Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Catering Worker/Cook to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals for nurseries we cater for.
Preparing player meals and preparing function food in advance for reheating.
This position offers start and finish times to suit school drop and pick up! We just ask the occasional night is worked if needed for a wedding/function.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, storage, and sanitation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a cafe or catering environment
- Knowledge of preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
- Previous experience in serving or assisting in food service is preferred but not mandatory
- A positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills
Cash in hand or can put through hours as required.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
