An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Up To Six Months Fixed Term Contract or Secondment professional development opportunity as Endoscopy Clinical Unit Manager post within the Medicine Division in ESHT NHS Trust.

It is important that the Endoscopy Clinical Unit Manager can work autonomously and use their own initiative to solve problems. With a busy and varied workload, it is key that the post-holder can prioritise work where there is competing demands, whilst also leading operational line management and provide assurance that all staff g their team to do the same. To ensure all staff within the Team have access to clinical and partake in this requirement.
You will be required to contribute to the development of strategic plans for service improvement, redesign and modernisation within the endoscopy department . To be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the clinical service, including planning and managing the workload of the team in such a way as to maximise efficiency, and ensuring that duties are discharged safely and effectively.

The Endoscopy Clinical Unit Manager will support the Matron’s and Head of Nursing in the operational management and development of the Endoscopy Units.
To ensure all staff within the Team have access to clinical and operational line management and provide assurance that all staff partake in this requirement.
To identify training needs through personal development process and ensure that these are met and provide some specialist training as required.
You will need a broad range of in-depth clinical and/ or managerial experience at a senior level in NHS or a similar large complex organisation. Recognised leadership -management qualification or proven equivalent training and experience and be Registered Nurse/Professional and hold active registration with relevant Professional body.
