SafeHands Nursing Care is a CQC-registered, nurse-led complex care provider supporting adults in their own homes.
We are looking for experienced Carers and Support Workers to join our complex care teams across London and surrounding areas.
The people we support have different needs, so your role will vary depending on the individual care package. This may include personal care, medication support, nutrition and hydration, mobility and repositioning, recording observations, supporting appointments and activities, and carrying out complex care tasks that you have been trained and assessed as competent to undertake.
We are looking for applicants with at least one year of complex care experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Spinal cord injury
- Acquired brain injury
- Neurological conditions
- Epilepsy
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation or complex respiratory care
- PEG or NG feeding
- Bowel management
- Catheter care
- Pressure care
- Reduced mobility
You do not need experience in every area. If you have good experience in one or two areas, we would still like to hear from you.
Working with SHNC
We want you to know who you are supporting, what they need and who to contact if you have a concern.
You will have an individual care plan, clear routes for raising concerns and support from our nurse-led team. Where a care package requires skills you have not previously been signed off for, you will receive package-specific training and competency assessment before carrying out those aspects of care independently.

What we are looking for
We want carers who are reliable, observant and comfortable speaking up when something does not seem right.
You should be able to recognise changes, raise concerns and be confident enough to say when you are not trained or competent to carry out a particular task.
You will be working in someone's home, so respecting their routines, choices, privacy and independence is an important part of the role.
You will need:
- At least 6 months of complex care experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete the required DBS check
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow individual care plans and raise concerns appropriately
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. We do not currently offer visa sponsorship.
Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
