As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services that ensure the comfort and satisfaction of all building users. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene by sanitizing surfaces and disposing of waste appropriately
- Follow scheduled cleaning routines and adapt to urgent cleaning requests as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness
- Use janitorial equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and cleaning chemicals
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Support team members with additional tasks such as restocking supplies or preparing cleaning stations for upcoming shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning work is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines are completed effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to commercial cleaning practices
Hours of work
8:00am to 6:30pm
Monday to Sunday with two days per week off (rotational days)

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
