The Prevention Team offers an Early Intervention Approach to families and aims to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
The role of Family Support Worker will give you the opportunity to put into practice your knowledge and experience to help find the right support for families and reduce the need for statutory intervention. This will be achieved by working in partnership with families, statutory and voluntary services to identify support an intervention that can make a difference to the lives of the families who live in the City.
These posts provide a challenging and exciting opportunity for those who wish to be part of this transformational service.
You must be willing to work flexible hours as the team provides support when it is required to fulfil the objective of the plan, occasionally this can fall outside traditional office hours.
These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS) formerly known as CRB.
