Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management
- Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
- Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety standards
- Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering settings will be advantageous
