Duties
- Safely operate long wheel base vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Deliver goods to designated locations efficiently and punctually
- Loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting where necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record, 5 years experience
- Experience in warehouse environments preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes
