We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/ Setter/ Operator to join our production team and support the manufacture of high‑precision components. The successful candidate will operate CNC machinery, interpret technical drawings, and ensure all parts meet strict quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- CNC Lathe Operation — Set up and run CNC lathes to complete a range of machining tasks.
- Engineering Drawing Interpretation — Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Machine Monitoring — Oversee machine performance and ensure smooth operation.
- Quality Inspection — Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Machine Adjustments — Make necessary adjustments to tooling, offsets, and settings.
- Work Area Maintenance — Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- CNC Lathe Proficiency — Strong experience operating CNC lathes.
- CAD Literacy — Ability to read CAD‑based engineering drawings.
- Hand Tool Competence — Skilled in using hand tools for setup and adjustments.
- Mechanical Knowledge — Capable of diagnosing and resolving machine issues.
- Materials & Tooling Handling — Experience with tooling, materials handling, and workshop processes.
Advantageous: Experience programming Doosan 220LSY, 220, 2100L with bar feeders or similar multi‑axis machines.
Skills:
- Team Collaboration — Work effectively with colleagues to meet production targets.
- Assembly & Handling — Confident in assembling components and handling materials.
- Maths for Measurement — Comfortable with measurements and basic calculations.
- CAD Familiarity — Able to interpret CAD drawings.
- Fanuc Knowledge — Understanding of Fanuc control systems.
- Hand Tool Use — Skilled in adjustments and minor maintenance.
- Milling Experience — Milling knowledge beneficial
Working Hours:
- Mon–Thu: 08:00–17:00
- Fri: 08:00–13:00
- Total: 39 hours per week.
