We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to support young people in our reintegration programmes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering positive development, providing guidance, and creating a safe environment for children and adolescents. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of young people
- Provide mentorship and support to promote personal growth and social skills
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support individual needs
- Monitor behaviour and intervene appropriately to manage conflicts or issues
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and behavioural incidents
- Support young people with special educational needs where applicable
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or young people in educational or community settings is desirable
- Knowledge of youth development principles and mentoring techniques
- Experience in teaching or special education is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of young people
- Demonstrated organisational skills to plan activities and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Passion for youth work and commitment to supporting positive outcomes for young people
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Pay: £15.00 per hour
