Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waitress to join our team, providing exceptional guest services in a welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and seat them comfortably
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their visit and addressing any concerns
- Handle payments efficiently and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as required, following food safety standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including food safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and sales performance
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
