Lidl Transport Supervisor
Nights 1800-0600
We currently have an exciting role for a Lidl Transport Supervisor providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics team at our Castle Donington site. The role works nights, working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
About the Role:
The purpose of a Lidl Transport Supervisor is to control and supervise Company transport operations and personnel (drivers) to achieve operational and customer service excellence. As a key member the Lidl Transport Operations Team, you will be responsible for the management of drivers by leading and motivating and to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
What we are looking for:
· Working with all night drivers reporting into nights operations team.
· Checking all drivers are on shift at customer sites.
· Dealing with all live operational issues and covering extra shifts, driver sickness, changes to drivers runs etc.
· TMS Schedule kept up to date, all additional work/changes are added onto the plan and confirmed with planning- save/review the TMS schedule before despatching drivers.
· To share the responsibility for data-entry along with other members of the department.
· To communicate with customers via telephone and/or e-mail and to provide an excellent level of service to all internal and external customers.
· Handling driver issues at store/delivery point and escalating to shift managers.
· Recording drivers' hours and kilometres
· Preparing daily KPls for the operation
· Preparing daily compliance KPIs for the Nation Operations manager
· Positively reporting into the customer at the end of shift of the nights service
· Preparing a handover for day shift
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the company dress code policy, standards of performance policy and health and safety policy.
· Accurately recording drivers' hours, including agency drivers, ensuring adherence to their run times stated on their paperwork. Reporting any anomalies directly to the Shift Manager.
· Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required, to provide support to the business.
· To maintain a high level of system housekeeping.
· To work efficiently to agreed timescales.
· To organise, manage all paperwork and file for auditing purposes.
· To enter all necessary data on to the in-house computer system.
· To ensure you follow safe working practices.
· To promptly report all accidents and incidents to your line manager.
· To assist in accident investigations, as necessary.
· To adhere to relevant site rules, QEHS policies and procedures including quality procedures, HACCP, safe systems of work and environmental controls.
· To have good communication skills and ability to liaise verbally confidently with employees and Management.
· To listen carefully to instructions.
· To keep your manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines.
· To be flexible to work on a variety of duties and locations as required.
· Ensuring cover in peak periods, emergencies, training, holidays, sickness, and absence.
