About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join our busy team. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery and collection of equipment to customers across the region, ensuring excellent service on every visit.
You will be responsible for managing your daily delivery schedule, carrying out vehicle checks, loading and unloading equipment, and working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the depot.
This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service and physical work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service at every customer interaction.
- Use route planning and mobile technology to manage deliveries and record activity.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained to a safe standard.
- Load, unload and secure equipment safely using the appropriate methods and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding deliveries and collections.
- Support depot operations, including stock movement and general depot assistance when required.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good understanding of safe loading, securing and transportation practices.
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, GPS and route planning software.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support depot operations when needed.
- Ability to drive a range of vehicles including 3.5t, 7.5t and Class 2 vehicles.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
