Position Overview
A HGV Class 2 Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of office furniture to designated locations. The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday // Days // Up to 4 nights out per week
Salary: £46,800 // Night out allowance of £26.20 per night // Early start allowance of £40.00 if starting before 4am // monthly pay

Location: HX2 9TN (Halifax)
Key Responsibilities
- Subsequently working in a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety and quality

Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles

Deliver and collect office furniture according to planned routes and schedules

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly

Ensure loads are secure and transported safely

Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately

Comply with EU/UK drivers hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules

Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle

Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.

Have the ability to box swap on the class 2 rigid
Role Requirements
- Valid HGV licence (Class C or C+E)

Digital tachograph card

Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations

Strong time management and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and responsibly

Good geographical knowledge or ability to use navigation systems

Physically fit and able to handle manual unloading of office furniture at sites.
