We are looking for a flexible and adaptable Payroll Overflow Support Officer to assist multiple teams with payroll and finance-related tasks during busy periods and staff shortages. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly pick up work across different departments, manage deadlines, and provide accurate payroll administration support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support payroll processing across various teams as overflow assistance when workloads increase.
- Run payroll and process payroll payments accurately and on time.
- Process and pay invoices in line with company procedures.
- Use payroll software including BrightPay for payroll administration and processing.
- Analyse Direct Payment budgets and check whether budget calculations are accurate and compliant.
- Review and check employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with pension administration including:
- Pension Regulator declarations
- NEST pension processing
- 4-weekly and monthly pension payment submissions
- Process and manage ILA invoices using Xero.
- Support Home Employment Insurance administration including Mark Bates and Fish Insurance documentation.
- Communicate with internal teams to resolve payroll queries and missing information.
- Maintain accurate payroll and financial records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Provide general administrative support to payroll and finance teams as required.
Pay: From £14.48 per hour
