About You
We’re looking for the right people to join our well-established, dedicated, and friendly team of Support Workers. You’ll provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes and in the community within the following areas; Yeovil, Glastonbury, Frome, Wells, Martock, Crewkerne, Curry Rivel, Taunton, Ilminster, Chard, Langport, and Somerton. (Travel by car is reimbursed)

Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with day-to-day tasks including shopping, finances, cooking, appointments, and housework.
- Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Be enthusiastic and creative in helping clients pursue their hobbies and interests — which can include a wide range of activities.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car with business insurance to take clients out into the community.
- Be flexible with travel to locations as required.
- Complete any additional training needed for the role — including shadow shifts, basic first aid, and working towards your Care Certificate if you don’t already have one.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and/or learning disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
- Ability to deliver person-centred support and adapt to each individual’s needs.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Confidence to work independently and follow care plans accurately.
Hours of Work
We have full time, temp, bank and part time positions available, these are of variable hours with an expectation of working approx. 20 -40 hours per week)
Shifts are weekdays with some weekend work, between 8am – 6pm, on a two-week rolling rota.
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour.
