Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in their recovery and daily activities within care home or home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine interest in helping others regain independence. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while developing valuable skills in rehabilitation support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with their personalised care plans, ensuring they meet their rehabilitation goals
- Support clients with daily activities such as mobility, personal care, and exercises
- Provide transportation assistance, including driving clients to appointments or activities when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of progress and report any concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Support the implementation of home care routines, ensuring safety and comfort for clients
- Use IT systems to update client records and document care provided efficiently and securely
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence and experience driving in various conditions preferred
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to assist individuals in their recovery process
