About the Role
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are seeking two dedicated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist's to join a highly welcoming team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting recovery, independence, and wellbeing through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and personalised care planning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Work autonomously as an active member of the multidisciplinary team, undertaking specialist assessments in collaboration with service users and their families/carers.
- Develop, implement, and review person-centred treatment plans that promote safety, recovery, independence, and community inclusion.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with NICE guidelines to support recovery and relapse prevention.
- Build effective therapeutic relationships with service users, carers, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, adapting interventions and care plans as appropriate to meet changing needs.
- Support service users in completing clinical outcome measures and contribute to ongoing risk assessment and management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate:
- Current HCPC registration.
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working within mental health services or community-based settings.
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based mental health interventions and recovery-focused practice.
- Strong understanding of medications, including administration, side effects, and ongoing management.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills.

- Relevant professional qualifications.
- Current registration with the appropriate professional body.
