We are looking for an experienced and motivated Agricultural Engineer to join a well-established agricultural machinery operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working with modern agricultural machinery and wants a varied, hands-on role with strong earning potential.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery, working both in the workshop and out in the field.
The Machinery
You will work across a diverse range of agricultural equipment, including:
- Tractors ranging from approximately 75hp to 530hp
- Combine harvesters, including high-capacity Lexion, Tucano and Avero machines
- Forage harvesters, including Jaguar field choppers
- Balers
- Mowers, rakes and tedders
- Telehandlers
- Wheel loaders and loading shovels
- Tillage and cultivation equipment
- Seeding machinery
- Self-propelled and trailed sprayers
- Agricultural and tipping trailers
The Role
As an Agricultural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing and preventative maintenance on agricultural machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Undertaking repairs and breakdown work both in the workshop and at customer sites
- Preparing machinery for delivery and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard
- Carrying out inspections, adjustments and routine maintenance
- Working efficiently to minimise machinery downtime
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
- Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
- Working safely and in accordance with company procedures
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as an Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Technician, Plant Engineer or similar
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
- Good electrical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on modern agricultural machinery
- The ability to diagnose faults efficiently and carry out quality repairs
- A practical, hands-on approach to engineering
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- A full UK driving licence
Experience with tractors, combines, forage harvesters, telehandlers, sprayers or cultivation equipment would be highly advantageous.
