The School is now looking to appoint a cleaner to join the Housekeeping team, working 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday mornings 6am to 10am.
Main duties
Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of a designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards by undertaking daily, weekly and termly cleaning tasks.
Take the initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards
Assist with the laundry
Liaise with the Maintenance Manager, School Caretaker and other members of staff as required – reporting faults when necessary
Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the line manager
Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance
Uphold the School’s safeguarding policies and processes
Person Specification
- Cleaning experience
- Must be able to liaise clearly with other members of the school staff
- Must be responsible, reliable, punctual & trustworthy
- Be confident and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Be able to lift/move equipment
- Must have the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
- Show a clear commitment to implementing whole school/staff policies relating to the safeguarding of children
