Bridgeway's Site & Ground Investigation team delivers high quality ground investigation, geotechnical and structural investigation services across the UK's infrastructure sector. The Opportunity
We are looking for an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our Site & Ground Investigation team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in ground investigation, geotechnical engineering or project coordination who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you'll play a key role in delivering investigation projects from award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the planning and management of ground investigation and geotechnical projects
- Coordinating project activities from contract award through to completion
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Preparing and managing project documentation, including health and safety information
- Supporting the safe delivery of site investigations and promoting a positive safety culture
- Managing small scale ground investigation projects under the guidance of senior colleagues
- Monitoring project costs and assisting with financial reporting and project accounts
- Coordinating site teams including engineers, technicians and drillers
- Assisting with the preparation of technical proposals and tender submissions
- Attending client meetings and site visits where required
- Promoting Bridgeway's full range of services to existing and prospective clients
- Supporting project delivery across rail, highways and environmental sectors
What We're Looking For
- Experience within ground investigation, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering or a related industry
- Good understanding of ground investigation techniques and site operations
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Excellent communication and client facing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a busy team environment
- Commercial awareness and an interest in project financial performance
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to undertake occasional site visits and work across a variety of infrastructure projects
