Front of House Assistant / Food Runner — Thrift Taco

Are you friendly, reliable and comfortable talking to customers? Looking for a small hospitality role with consistent weekly hours?
Thrift Taco is an East London food brand serving chef-driven Mexican food from our residency at Great Beyond Brewing.
We're looking for a Front of House Assistant to help us deliver great customer experiences during service.
Important: This role is currently Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm–9pm. Additional shifts may become available over time, but applicants must be available for these regular weekly shifts.
The role includes:
- Taking customer orders
- Answering questions about the menu
- Running food to tables
- Checking in with customers during service
- Clearing trays and maintaining the dining area
- Assisting with simple service preparation
- Supporting the kitchen and front of house team during busy periods
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and personable
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable talking to customers
- Calm during busy periods
- Happy working in a small team
- Proactive and willing to help wherever needed
Previous hospitality, serving, bar, café or customer service experience is preferred.
