We are seeking an exceptional Maître d' / Floor Supervisor to join our leadership team and play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This is a hands-on position suited to a confident, professional, and highly service-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess exceptional people skills, and lead by example on the restaurant floor. Working closely alongside the General Manager, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations, maintain impeccable service standards, support and develop the team, and ensure the venue operates smoothly from opening through to closing.
This role requires someone who is driven, enthusiastic, highly trained in service, and committed to creating memorable experiences for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional, and memorable welcome to all guests.
- Lead and supervise front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service at all times.
- Build strong relationships with guests and create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
- Coordinate reservations, table management, and guest flow throughout service.
- Support, motivate, and develop front-of-house team members to achieve their full potential.
- Train staff on service procedures, product knowledge, and hospitality excellence.
- Monitor service standards and proactively resolve guest concerns or complaints.
- Work closely with the General Manager to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Assist with rotas, stock control, ordering, and operational planning where required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Complete end-of-day procedures, including cashing up, security checks, reporting, and venue closure.
- Lead by example in personal presentation, professionalism, and service delivery.
- Ensure all team members consistently adhere to company dress code, grooming standards, and professional conduct expectations.
- Coach and mentor staff to maintain exceptional standards of appearance, behaviour, and guest service.
- Address any service, presentation, or conduct issues promptly, professionally, and fairly.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and operational excellence throughout the venue.
Candidate RequirementsEssential
- Previous experience as a Maître d', Floor Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Extensive knowledge of high-quality food and beverage service.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, approachable, and professional manner.
- Self-motivated, driven, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage shifts independently and make sound operational decisions.
