Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
- Support in developing new menu items and seasonal offerings
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor cleanliness of the kitchen environment and enforce health & safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
- Extensive food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management skills
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Passion for culinary arts and continuous professional development in hospitality industry
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
