Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef or cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef/cook you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and preparing high-quality meals that delight our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation, and meal presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure consistency and excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation processes.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that reflect current culinary trends.
