About the Role
Al Shams E-commerce and Retail Solutions Ltd provides e-commerce operations, online retail support, digital merchandising, customer communications and promotional marketing services.
We are looking for an organised, commercially aware and data-focused Email Marketing Specialist to plan, create and optimise customer email campaigns.
The successful candidate will manage promotional campaigns, automated customer journeys, product announcements and retention communications. You will work closely with e-commerce, design, content and customer-support teams to deliver relevant messages that improve engagement, conversion and repeat purchases.
This mid-level position is suitable for candidates with experience in email marketing, CRM marketing, e-commerce communications, digital campaigns or customer-retention activity.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning: Develop and maintain weekly and monthly email-marketing calendars aligned with commercial priorities.
Email Production: Build and prepare promotional emails, product announcements, newsletters and customer updates.
Customer Journeys: Create automated communications for welcome, abandoned-basket, post-purchase, re-engagement and retention campaigns.
Audience Segmentation: Group customers using purchasing activity, engagement, preferences and other approved data.
Copywriting: Write clear subject lines, preview text, campaign copy and calls to action.
Creative Coordination: Work with designers and content specialists to prepare campaign graphics, banners and product assets.
Campaign Testing: Check links, layouts, personalisation, tracking and mobile presentation before launch.
Performance Analysis: Monitor delivery, open, click-through, conversion, unsubscribe and revenue-related measures.
A B Testing: Test subject lines, content, offers, send times and audience groups to identify improvements.
Product Promotion: Coordinate email activity for product releases, seasonal promotions and limited-time offers.
Data Quality: Identify missing, duplicated or outdated customer records and support corrective action.
Compliance Support: Follow approved consent, preference-management, data-protection and unsubscribe procedures.
Reporting: Prepare regular summaries covering campaign performance, customer engagement and recommended actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with e-commerce, customer support, sales and operations teams.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend practical improvements to campaign content, automation and customer targeting.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in email marketing, CRM marketing, digital marketing or a related role.
- Experience creating and managing commercial email campaigns.
- Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Understanding of customer segmentation and automated journeys.
- Ability to interpret campaign-performance data.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-assurance skills.
- Ability to manage several campaigns and changing deadlines.
- Confidence using spreadsheets, content tools and email-marketing platforms.
- Understanding of customer consent and responsible data handling.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Organised, dependable and commercially focused approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related subject.
- Experience working in e-commerce, online retail or consumer products.
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable platform.
- Experience building automated customer journeys and triggered campaigns.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS for basic email editing.
- Experience using Google Analytics or another digital-performance platform.
- Understanding of conversion, retention and customer-lifetime-value measures.
- Experience conducting A B tests and presenting campaign recommendations.
Pay: £34,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
