About the Role:
We are looking to for a Personal Care Assistant to provide support to with all aspects of daily living for a wheelchair user in the Bournemouth area.

Employed rate: £12.71 per hour
Day & Times:
Monday PM 4 hours, Tuesday PM 3 hours,
Thursday PM 5 hours, Friday AM 10.00-12.30, Saturday 2.00-6.00 pm
The days could be split between 2 or more carers.

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the individual:
I have a physical disability which effects my mobility and I require help with all aspects of daily living. I live in a bungalow with my husband, and we have a small dog. We are both wheelchair users.
Place of work: Employer’s home, also out and about with me or
independently as required.
Hours: Monday PM 4 hours, Tuesday PM 3 hours,
Thursday PM 5 hours, Friday AM 10.00-12.30,
Saturday 2.00-6.00 pm

MAIN DUTIES
· Be available whilst I undertake personal care in case I need assistance.
· Food preparation, assisting me or cooking meals and making drinks
· Setting up cooking materials for me to use
· Washing/drying up
· Shopping and/or assisting me with our shopping
· Running errands, collecting and carrying things on my behalf
· Changing beds
· Undertaking other household duties such as laundry, ironing, hoovering, dusting and general household cleaning
· Light gardening duties during the spring/summer
· Help to maintain our home, such as changing light bulbs
· Help to walk our dog
Social Assistance
· We have a Renault Traffic wheelchair adapted van which you should be comfortable in driving.
· Driving me to social events, shopping etc
· Assisting me to enjoy our garden
Ideal Candidate
· A full driving licence with no endorsements and valid appropriate insurance
· Hygiene is important due to our disabilities

Experience in care would be preferable but not essential.
