Coopers Marquees Ltd (UK) is a premier marquee hire company that offers complete marquee solutions for any event – private or corporate. Our head office is based in York and we operate nationally. We provide a custom service where we help our clients from the initial concept to the final site clearance of their events. Additionally, we assist with mobile toilet hire and furniture rental through our associated companies Mobaloo and YFE, respectively. Our goal is to provide a bespoke service that ensures all events run smoothly with our attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and professionalism.
Role Description
This full-time Senior Foreperson position is an on-site role located in York and serving the North Yorkshire area - York, Ripon, Harrogate. The Experienced Senior Foreperson will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the on-site teams to ensure the successful and timely completion of marquee installations and de-rigs nationally. Additionally, the Senior Foreperson will ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site and assist with team training and development. The successful candidate must be willing to work outdoors, have excellent communication skills and experience in managing and leading teams. This is a hands on role where the foreman will lead by example and will work with the team in the erection and finishing of marquees, to a high standard with exemplary health & saftey standards whilst working to maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a foreman or similar leadership role in the event industry
- Proven experience in leading a team and working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Experience in construction, carpentry or similar trades is preferred but not essential
- Previous marquee erection and team leadership experience highly desirable
