Handover Manager
We’re looking for a Handover Manager to take ownership of the vehicle handover process, ensuring our customers receive a seamless, positive experience from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage a team, and has a sharp eye for detail and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating a team to provide friendly, professional service to customers collecting their new vehicles.
- Ensuring all paperwork, payments, and compliance checks are completed before handover.
- Supporting the team with part-exchange processes and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Assisting customers with vehicle tax, insurance advice, and any final queries at handover.
- Managing escalations and resolving customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Auditing team documentation to maintain accuracy and adherence to company procedures.
- Overseeing team schedules, managing holiday calendars, and ensuring full coverage at all times.
- Delivering training and coaching to support ongoing staff development.
- Ensuring all handovers are completed in a timely, safe, and customer-focused manner.
- Promoting a culture of excellent communication, respect, and teamwork.
Essential Skills:
- Must have a valid, clean, full UK licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
- Previous experience in a manager or supervisory role, ideally in customer service or the motor trade.
- Good communication and strong organisational skills
- Acts proactively to add value and follows up any problems to keep keep them solved.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering great service.
