We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Bakery Supervisor, overseeing the team in the bakery and ensuring we meet production targets and outputs. You’ll be working alongside another supervisor, and report to the Operations Director.

Hours: 25-37.5 hours per week. We are open to discussing what might work for you.
Rate of pay: £27,500 FTE
Terms: Permanent contract, subject to a 6-month probationary period
Location: Nottingham South & Wilford Industrial Estate, West Bridgford NG11 7EP
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Purpose of the role: To ensure the smooth running of the bakery through supportive supervision of the team

Main tasks / responsibilities:
Supervising bakery team
- In collaboration with the other supervisor arrange rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Induct staff into the kitchen, advise on safe use of equipment, and food safety practices
- Oversee training of staff in the bakery, giving direction where there are areas of poor performance
- Ensure staff are aware of responsibilities and targets for the day and working effectively
Bakery management
- Implement all parts of the food safety policy, ensure all standards set out by the company are met
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, including management of kitchen standards, clean ovens, equipment and floors
- Monitor relevant stock levels and order supplies
- Daily checks: cleaning diary and any other safety checks
Biscuit output
- Ensure biscuits are baked to a consistent quality/weight and dispose of any biscuits that don’t meet quality control
- Meet production targets set by Operations Director for each week
- Fill out reporting documents as required by SALSA
- Arrange shipping and prepare shipments including pallet
Specific areas of responsibility
- Operating ovens - guiding other operators and working to improve baking efficiency
- Packing - direct team on orders to pack, ensure relevant documentation is maintained
- Order handling - manage incoming orders, arrange delivery, load pallets and invoice customers
