About Us
Holdwest is an online vintage clothing business based in Sheffield. We have been trading since 2014 and work with a wide range of items, from everyday wardrobe staples to standout branded and one-off pieces.
Alongside Holdwest, we also run Big Sky Vintage Wholesale, supplying stock to shops, online sellers and other businesses.
We are a small, hands-on team with a friendly, practical working environment where everyone’s work makes a difference.
About the Role
We are looking for a practical, reliable and detail-focused person to join our team in a varied role across retail and wholesale.
This role is all about helping vintage clothing move through the business carefully and efficiently - from new stock arriving, through to photography, online listings, customer orders and wholesale dispatch.
You will be working hands-on with vintage items every day. This includes preparing items for photography, taking clear product photos, creating accurate listings, organising stock, picking and packing orders, and helping sort and grade new deliveries.
It would suit someone with an interest in clothing, likes things to be organised, and gets satisfaction from doing a job properly. You do not need to be an expert in vintage fashion, but you do need to be curious, willing to learn and comfortable following clear systems.
Because we are a small team, everyone gets involved. Some days may be focused on photographing and listing products, while others may involve packing orders, sorting stock, helping with wholesale orders or supporting the team with whatever needs doing that day.
The right person will be steady, thoughtful and accurate. They will be happy working independently once trained, but also comfortable asking questions, taking feedback and being part of a team where communication and reliability really matter.
Main Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Preparing items for listing
- Photographing clothing using studio lighting and a DSLR camera
- Editing product photographs
- Creating accurate online product listings
- Measuring, describing and cataloguing items clearly
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Helping with wholesale orders through Big Sky Vintage Wholesale
- Sorting, grading and organising new stock deliveries
- Keeping work areas tidy, organised and safe
- Supporting other team members when needed
Full training will be given, but you will need to be comfortable using computers and following clear processes.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, focused and willing to learn. Previous experience in the vintage industry or e-commerce is helpful, but not essential. An interest in vintage clothing, fashion and online selling would be a real advantage.
The right person for this role will take pride in accuracy, care about doing things properly, and enjoy working as part of a small team.

Desirable Skills
These are helpful, but not essential:
- An interest in vintage clothing or fashion.
- Experience with online marketplaces such as eBay, Vinted, Depop or Shopify
- Experience photographing products
- Experience using photo editing software
- Previous warehouse, retail, stockroom or e-commerce experience
- Familiarity with Mac computers
