Kennedys' Legal Support Assistant (LSA) team have a key role contributing to the effectiveness of the Firm by providing a comprehensive business support service to all Kennedys practice groups and business services teams across the UK and globally.
The in-house team is a dedicated group of LSAs and an integral part of the Kennedys' community, delivering document production and administration services to Kennedys offices worldwide.
The Legal Support Administrator is aimed to provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the business helping to ensure the efficient delivery of services to internal clients across the firm. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out a variety of administrative tasks including the preparation and bundling of legal documents for court or client distribution, accurately saving and organising files within iManage, submitting requests for CRU Certificates, and efficiently downloading and uploading files to internal platforms. Support team-specific activities such as CMS uploads, managing helpline queries, and assisting with data entry and reporting tasks. Perform office duties including photocopying, scanning, printing, collating materials for meetings, and booking meeting rooms. Provide ad hoc administrative support for fee earners and proactively respond to urgent requests from the Legal Support Team Leader or Supervisors, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
Work methodically within Service Desk and be aware of the work priorities.
Accurately interpret fee earner instructions, pro-actively seeking clarification where required to ensure work is completed to expectations.
Engage positively with the team and grow strong relationships within the LSA team/Supervisors/Team Leader and wider legal support community and firm.
Committed to maintaining high service standards and contributing to the professional reputation of the department.
Follow correct procedures, instructions and protocols which will differ for each team.
Skills and Requirements of a Legal Support Administrator
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong team-working skills with the ability to work independently when required.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Desirable skills in Adobe Acrobat, Power PDF, Kase, BigHand and PDF Docs.
Utilise Firm technology and workflow systems effectively to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal clients with a flexible and helpful approach.
Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical, administrative and professional skills.
Actively seek feedback and apply learning to continuously improve performance.
