Class 2 Driver – Leafing & Autumn Waste Collection
Location: Birmingham, B45
Pay Rate: £16.03 per hour
Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Hours per Week: 37.5 hours
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to join our seasonal leafing and autumn waste collection team in Birmingham.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable Class 2 Driver looking for regular weekday daytime work during the autumn season.
The Role
You will be driving a Class 2 vehicle across the Birmingham area, working alongside a team of loaders to collect leaves and other autumn waste from designated areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle across the Birmingham area
- Work closely with a team of loaders throughout the day
- Collect leaves and autumn waste from roads, paths and designated areas
- Transport collected waste to the appropriate disposal site
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Complete daily collection schedules efficiently
- Work as part of a team in an outdoor environment
Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of the Birmingham area is advantageous
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Positive attitude towards health and safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
